Theauthor's intention was to present a broad panorama of military dress in the years 1918-1939 , both as to cut, color, system of insignia, circumstances of wearing, practicality, as well as manufacturing capabilities and organizational activities aimed at providing the army with the most appropriate uniform in Polish conditions. There was also an attempt to find an answer to the question: how did it pass the test in wartime conditions on the battlefield in 1939, and what of this garment has survived as traditional to our days.
