An ambiguous figure in German history and art, Andreas Paul Weber , a prominent lithographer, illustrator and painter, was imprisoned during the Nazi regime while working with Ernst Niekisch's resistance circle, but his ideological background comes from the populist-nationalist revolutionary movement of the 1920s. "He was already openly anti-Semitic in the interwar period and created explicit racial stereotypes in his drawings."
