A private handwritten copy of Viktor Chominski's "Numismatic Handbook..." into pocket format. Tyszkiewicz.
In addition to the reduced Tyszkiewicz, we have in this notebook an expansion of it for the period of coins of the 19th century and Courland. In the pages at the end written theses prescriptions regarding the cleaning of coins, as well as left a few pages loose, for further notes.
The importance of this notebook for its owner (V. Chominski) is evidenced by the fact that, despite its soft (practical) cover, it has gilded sides (not painted, but gilded with real gold).
Tishkevich's content elaborated on the rarity markings, quoting from a note in the introduction, "Rarity grades R1-9 according to Dr. Kirmis," and the items underlined in red crayon, this, as we also read in the introduction, "means that a similar one is with me."
In addition, in fine red writing, prices are carried next to some items, with correlation to the state of preservation (explained in the entry that these are prices based on the 1909-1911 estimate).
Format: 83 x 130 mm.
Dry imprinted ownership stamp of W. Chominski on the cover.
An amazing item.
