First post-war edition of the famous ''Drinking Dictionary'' with excellent illustrations by Feliks Topolski. This book is an excellent opportunity to learn not only the names of vodkas or liquors, but also often amusing news of customs. So there is vodka or various drinks, given to the Reader depending on the taste, strength, advantages, disadvantages. There are also given states and degrees of intoxication, ceremonies, occasions, drinking customs and cries, also descriptions of vessels. In addition, there is a rich Bacchic anthology, i.e. accompanying folk songs, songs of the bourgeoisie and nobility, such as such a famous one as "Drinks Cuba to Jacob." In addition, beautiful works by such poets as Mikołaj Rej, Marcin Bielski, Jan Kochanowski, Daniel Naborowski, or Wacław Potocki, Adam Naruszewicz and Ignacy Krasicki. There is no denying that poetry has always liked honey, wine and good vodka, as the master himself, Julian Tuwim, writes in the introduction.
