Two rare works devoted to the events of Torun in 1724. Estreicher locates only one piece of Bion's work and two pieces of Jablonski's book. About the latter, Estreicher writes: "The thing is contained in XXII chapters; it covers the history of Toruń, the clergy, the Jesuits, the tumult, the trial, the court, the intervention of the powers, the execution of the sentence, the tragedy of Toruń in 5 acts, the trial brought against the pastors, the explanation of the treaty in Oliva. Speech of the Jesuit defender. Letters of the kings. Wieruszewski's sermon. Letter of security of the Polish king for Geret and Olof. Minister Finch's speech. Articles of Oliva. Circular of the Bishop of Cracow. The plates here include a portrait of mayor Johann Gottfried Rösner, his execution and the execution of Protestants.
Torun Tumult - "the events of July 16, 1724 in Torun, when there was a riot between local Protestants and Catholics, ending with the demolition of the Jesuit college by Protestants. In response to this event, an assessor's court appointed by King Augustus II sentenced 9 Protestant participants in the incidents and 2 Protestant mayors of the city to death, which caused a strong outcry abroad and a serious diplomatic crisis" (Wikipedia).
