Each illustration signed in Polish, French and German. Lack of back cover, soiling, scuffing and some tears to cover, foreign dedication on front cover, some browning on first plate, rest in good condition. Stanislaw Tondos (1854-1917) - Polish landscape painter. He painted primarily watercolors depicting urban landscapes. His works have contemporary documentary value, as they illustrate the appearance of non-existent buildings and entire architectural complexes. He was a proponent of promoting art through postcards; his works were popularized in this form by the publication of the Salon of Polish Painters.
