Technique and materials used: Binding in natural leather from one piece of leather. Layered cover with inset two decorative strips running around the book serving as clasp. All symbols, signs and graphics engraved by hand in the leather On the strips embossed Title. Straps attached to the cover with bookbinding screws. On the covers embossed contours of the tree of Gondor and the gate of Moria. Painting of the outlines in gold. On the spine embossed Tolkien symbol with gold underpainting of outlines. The background on the reliefs and the oval on the spine stained black. Polished brass hardware at corners. Block carved around the inscription, all spray-painted in black paint and the inscription hand-painted in gold. The block is rounded and corked
