This printing house enjoyed a very strong position in the then Russian partition. As Rafal Zebrowski writes: "After David's death, the Typography of the Widow [Deborah] and Romm Brothers was launched (from 1863). Although new Jewish printing houses had already been established in Russia since 1862, the Romms' enterprise retained its position as the largest publishing house in this market." [Source - R.
