Very good condition. Ex-libris. Edition I. Polish-English edition with handwritten signature of the author in 1997. Attached is the program of the Cracow "Meeting of Poets of the East and West," held on October 4-6 as part of the Cracow 2000-Festival'97 project, proclaimed the Year of Poetry-Festival of Wislawa Szymborska and Czeslaw Milosz, under the patronage of the poets (see also the ex-libris). Also included is a photograph of the author signing one of her books.
W. Szymborska (1923-2012) - poet, essayist, critic, translator, columnist, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1996, founder of the Association of Polish Writers in 1989.
