SZYDŁOWSKI Tadeusz - Ruins of Poland. Description of the damage caused by the war in the field of art monuments in the lands of Malopolska and Red Ruthenia. With 227 engravings and orjentation map. Lvov [preface 1919]. Druk. Narodowa, Cracow. 4, pp. VII, [1], 213, [2]. Opr. somewhat late pp.
Minor stains, good condition. A richly illustrated monograph devoted to the destruction of palaces, manors, churches and other monuments of material culture in Malopolska and Ukraine. The book makes clear the enormity of the losses suffered by Poland during World War I. Kazimierz-on-Vistula, now considered a pearl of Polish Renaissance urbanism, is an excellent example of the irreparable and impossible to restore losses in the historic resource of national heritage.
