Richly illustrated monograph of Mokotow. The complicated history of Mokotow, at first a suburban village, then a suburb and district of Warsaw, is illustrated by photographs mostly from the author's family collection. In addition to the history of the most important monuments, existing and unpreserved, the reader has the opportunity to learn about the people and their achievements. Their portraits are woven into the content. There is also no shortage of information about old Mokotow businesses already operating before World War I and after it - in the interwar period - nationalized by the communist authorities after 1945, whose existence is confirmed by old press notices and advertising prints. Photographs of old Mokotow are complemented by contemporary photos of new buildings, created after 1989 - by Grzegorz Gajewski.
