"Wieniec pieśni begrackich" (Wreath of Beggar Songs) is a collection of songs, mainly songs and ballads, written in the second half of the 19th century. The author of the text of the song "Wieniec pieśni żbrackich" was Michal Suchorowski, who was one of the leading representatives of Polish folk poetry. Suchorowski was born in 1823 in Warsaw, and was of noble origin. In his work he referred to folk traditions, writing ballads, songs and satires, among others. "Wreath of Beggar Songs" is one of his best-known works, which is still popular among lovers of folk poetry.
