The book by Jan Straus, a bibliophile and collector, which can be confidently regarded as an attempt to sketch the history of Polish graphic design in the years 1800-1939, is an extremely important and rich study of the history of Polish cover art, all the more valuable because it is based on the author's own unique collections, collected over many decades.
