Stabik Antoni (1807-1887), parish priest in Michalkowice.
In addition to his pastoral activities, he was engaged in literary works and journalism. In 1845 he compiled and published a Catholic Calendar for the Upper Silesian People for the Year of the Lord 1846 . He wrote several religious books (some of which were translations from German). In 1864-1865 he made two trips to Italy, which he described in the book Memories of a Trip to Upper and Lower Italy (1867), and in 1870 he stayed in Oberammergau, Bavaria, where the famous Passion mysteries have been held since the 17th century. He included an account of this trip in the book A vivid depiction of the Passion of Christ in Oberammergau from his own view . He published in the "Catholic Weekly" , "Marian Weekly" , "Upper Silesian Annunciator" , "Catholic", "Schlesisches Kirchenblatt" . He died on September 3, 1887 in Michalkowice and was laid to rest there in the church cemetery.
