The volume presented here and at least two issues of the following volume (absent here) were published. On plates lithographed scenes from recent and earlier Polish history. Includes texts on the death of General Sowinski, the battle of Maciejowice, the Lithuanian uprising, Jan Kilinski, the palace in Pulawy, Tadeusz Kosciuszko, Napoleon's entry into Vilnius, the Wieliczka mine. At the end is a French translation of Mickiewicz's poem "A une mère polonaise" ("To a Polish Mother") by Krystyna Ostrowski.
