[JuliuszSŁOWACKI, bringing in the body]. Two printed admittance permits for the poet's funeral ceremonies in Cracow on June 27 and 28, 1927.
Two one-sided prints form. 10.3x14.4 cm. Permits issued in the name (handwritten) of Wladyslaw Potok, member of the Academic Section, by the Cracow Citizens' Committee for Bringing the Remains of J. Slowacki to Wawel. The first document ("Legitimation") authorizing "entry to the ceremonial area" on June 27 and 28, bears the seal of the Committee and the signature of Jozef Kallenbach, Chairman of the Committee. The second (invitation) permits entry to the arcade courtyard, and bears the imprinted seal of the Cracow Police Directorate. Originally the invitation was for the welcoming of Słowacki's ashes on Lubicz Street, this fragment was crossed out by hand and information about the courtyard was added. Minor stains.
