The story of Ivan and his magnificent horse is known not only in Russia, but also in Europe, America and even in Asian folklore. The work is a work of folk art handed down from mouth to mouth over the centuries. On paper, the story was first recorded in the 18th century. Thanks to folklore collector A. N. Afanasyev's "Sivka-burka," published in one of eight collections of Russian writing stories, published between 1855 and 1863, it became widely known.
