Za chlebem - a novella by Henryk Sienkiewicz from 1880, first published in "Gazeta Polska" and "Dziennik Poznański". In the same year reprinted in volume IV of Henryk Sienkiewicz's Writings of the Gebethner and Wolff publishing house. Estreicher's bibliography lists the 1896 edition [Nakładem Krakowskiego Towarzystwa Oświaty Ludowej] as the first independent book edition.
