Aleksander Semkowicz (1885-1954) - bookbinder, bibliographer, lover and researcher of Adam Mickiewicz's works, senator in the Second Republic. He initiated the creation of the Adam Mickiewicz Museum of Literature in Warsaw, and was its first director in 1950-1954.
