Aleksandr Semkowicz by Lviv bibliophiles on February 23, 1930. [To Master Aleksandr Semkowicz who on 23 Februarii A. D. MCMXXX consecrated the thresholds and corners of his own house at 36 Kadeckie Nro St. in Lviv, which was erected at great expense, and which was surrounded by a fortified wall for the rightful protection of valuable books, on this occasion KOMILITONI wish him well.

Print 6 pp. 22 cm high. Decorative cardboard binding, covered with hand stained paper, prepared by Aleksander Semkowicz. Paper signboard with titlepage on the front. Exlibris of A. Semkowicz ("The Mickiewicz Library of Aleksander Semkowicz Lwowianin"), designed by Rudolf Mękicki (print in cyncotype). Preserved original brochure cover.

A charming bibliophilic gift on the occasion of Aleksander Semkowicz's move to his new property at 36 Kadecka Street in Lviv. The item was written by Mieczyslaw Opalek, the printing was prepared by Lviv bibliophiles, and the "copy" pieces were embossed at the University Printing House, Lviv, Piekarska 3.

Aleksander Semkowicz (1885-1954) - bookbinder, bibliographer, lover and researcher of the works of Adam Mickiewicz, senator in the Second Republic. He initiated the creation of the Adam Mickiewicz Museum of Literature in Warsaw, and was its first director in 1950-1954.

Mieczyslaw Opałek (1881-1964) - Lviv city historian, poet, educator and bibliophile.
