A charming bibliophilic gift on the occasion of Aleksander Semkowicz's move to his new property at 36 Kadecka Street in Lviv. The item was written by Mieczyslaw Opalek, the printing was prepared by Lviv bibliophiles, and the "copy" pieces were embossed at the University Printing House, Lviv, Piekarska 3.
Aleksander Semkowicz (1885-1954) - bookbinder, bibliographer, lover and researcher of the works of Adam Mickiewicz, senator in the Second Republic. He initiated the creation of the Adam Mickiewicz Museum of Literature in Warsaw, and was its first director in 1950-1954.
Mieczyslaw Opałek (1881-1964) - Lviv city historian, poet, educator and bibliophile.
