First edition of a textbook on differential and integral calculus by one of the most eminent - not only Polish - mathematicians, creator of functional analysis, representative of the Lviv school of mathematics. M. Urbanek in his work "Geniuses. Lviv School of Mathematics" (War. 2014) wrote: "Banach's academic textbooks, above all the two-volume 'Differential and Integral Calculus,' were spoken of with admiration. Not only did they fill a gap in the Polish mathematical market [...], but they were written in a light and accessible language" (p. 35).
