Double-sided manuscript on 99 cards form. 22.5x15.5 cm (including 21 blank pages), original cover pp. On the inside of the front cover a sticker of Jan Wilczynski's Storehouse of Trade Books in Cracow. Book written in one hand with later additions. Entire book divided into thematic chapters: Soups (e.g., Dutch potato soup, swede and mushroom soup, onion soup, asparagus soup), Sauces (e.g., potato sauce, blush cucumber sauce, hot sauce, sauce with pork fat as stew (?)), Vegetables (e.g., sorrel for winter, cabbage. sorrel for winter, pumpkin cabbage, pickled rye, spinach with porridge, apple drink instead of tea, dill in salt, blueberries without sugar), Leguminy (here mainly noodles and dumplings), Legumin section (here cakes, pies, gingerbread), Baking section (e.g. meat and potato cutlets, carp on gray with apples, veal chop, mutton beefsteak, general remarks on pigeons). Finally, a housekeeping section (e.g., dyeing and laundry, an easy way to clean knives, blisters on heels and soles, chestnut soap, restoring gilded frames). The aforementioned later additions are mostly about cakes and other baked goods. Cover edges rubbed, spine one side cracked, stains to a few pages.
