Collection of the most ancient monuments of Slavic legislation. A work famous in its time, containing easy-to-read translations of the texts along with their original wording of three Slavic treaties: from 912 and 1228, and a set of laws from the beginning of the 11th century, the so-called Russian Truths ( the laws granted by Yaroslav I to Novgorod the Great). A significant part of the work is a treatise by the author of translations I. B. Rakovetsky on cultural and social relations of the ancient Slavs. At the end of vol. 1go a list of the rulers of Russia from Rurik I to Peter the Great, at the end of vol. 2-nd spread of tables with alphabet, numerals and explanations. rare.
