Like Linde's "Dictionary of the Polish Language" and Estreicher's "Polish Bibliography", "The History of the Residence" is a monumental work of one man. Historian and librarian Roman Aftanazy was already collecting materials on the history, appearance and resources of existing and defunct residences and mansions in the pre-war years. Thanks to him, this world has not been lost entirely and irrevocably. Bibliophile will find in this publication a lot of information about libraries in the borderlands.
