A detailed, richly illustrated monograph presenting the figure of Artur Grottger as a prolific painter, illustrator and draughtsman. Author Antoni Potocki has described the artist's life and work in chronological order, from his youth to the period of his stay in Lvov and Krakow, the Viennese years, his sixtieth year, his stay in Venice, until his death in France.
