Each volume bears a hand-drawn engraving - a drawing of a ladybug and the signature of Kazimierz Wisniak , from whose collection both volumes come. Kazimierz Wisniak - Polish stage designer, costume designer, painter, draughtsman, graphic artist, as well as co-founder of Piwnica Pod Baranami, and more recently author and illustrator of his books. The two volumes contain a collection of essays, memoirs, interviews and other texts by various authors on Stanislaw Wyspianski and his work, mainly from the era in which the prominent writer and artist lived. The book includes 24 black-and-white reproductions of portraits, 22 of which are by Stanislaw Wyspianski, while portraits of Stanislaw Wyspianski by Józef Mehoffer and Jan Skotnicki are included at the beginning of both volumes.
