PIŁSUDSKA Aleksandra - MEMORIES
Aleksandra Piłsudska (1882-1963), independence activist. From her youth, she was associated with the socialist movement, initially with the PPS, then with the PPS-Revolutionary Faction. Participant in the action at Bezdanami. During her independence work she met Józef Piłsudski. During World War I, she commanded the courier service of the First Brigade of the Legions. During the Second Republic, as Jozef Pilsudski's wife, she participated in public life, took part in charitable and social actions, even after her husband's death. After 1939, together with her daughters Wanda and Jadwiga, she left Poland for Great Britain.
