Covers slightly rubbed, otherwise good condition. Own stamp. J. A. Danielski. Title lettering in gilt on spines; number 2 is the volume with coat of arms tables, number 1 is the volume with explanatory text. Volume with text at end bound with number of "Wiad. Numizmatyczno-Archeologiczne" (no. 2/1906) with Wiktor Wittyg's article "Seal marks (gmerki) of burghers in Poland in the 16th and the dawn of the 17th century, continued." There, at the end, collected back covers with lists of "Coats of Arms known only by name" (up to and including the letter S) and with a request to send drawings with proofs. Instead of title pages, covers of pp. 1-2, provisional. Published in notebooks since 1897. unfinished work contains likenesses of 3,664 coats of arms (up to Syrokomla VIII) and explanatory text to the Sylm entry. In later years "Herold" continued to publish plates for the "Book", the text was not continued."'Book' is an informative guide to this day irreplaceable.
