This guide was compiled in 1914, so it describes not only the areas belonging to the former Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria but also Bukovina, the counties of Upper Hungary, which later became part of Czechoslovakia, and Cieszyn Silesia, Spisz and Orava. We even have a description of a trip to Kamieniec Podolski. The author gently draws attention to the predominance of the Polish element in Upper Spiš, Orava and Cieszyn Silesia - a border dispute with Czechoslovakia, to be settled in the form of a plebiscite, was just underway in these areas. The main part of the guide is made up of descriptions of the sights of Lesser Poland, with a clear predominance of the eastern part. The railroad lines are the axis of the individual tours. Described in turn are Lviv (city and surroundings) and routes from Lviv to: Yavorov, Sokal, Stoyanov, Brody, Podwoloczyska, Podhajce and Sniatyn. Then: Ternopil - Kopyczynce; Stanislaviv - Husiatyn; Kolomyja - Zaleszczyki - Chortkiv; Vygnanka - Iwan Puste - Kamieniec Podolski; Stanislaviv - Yasin. Then we visit with the Author the Dniester Yar, Bukovina and the Hutsul region, leads into the Gorgans and Czarnohora, as well as the Marmara Carpathians and the Rodnian Alps. We return back to the train and follow the routes: Stryisk - Stanislaviv; Lviv - Stryisk - Volovets; Lviv - Sambor - Berezna; Stryisk - Chyriv; Lviv - Yaroslavl; Yaroslavl - Rawa Ruska and Przemyśl - Laborce. Then we move on to Krakow. We take a tour of Krakow, followed by a tour of "Szwajcarya Krakowska", and again take trains on the routes: Krakow - Jaroslaw; Tarnow - Szczucin; Debica - Sandomierz - Przeworsk; Tarnow - Stróże - Zagorz; Krakow - Zwardoń - Skawina - Oświęcim; Sucha - Stróże; Nowy Sącz - Krynica with a trip to Szczawnica. We make several trips to the Western Beskids, Podhale, Pieniny, Tatra Mountains. Then a little more excursion to Spisz, Orava and Cieszyn Silesia and we can say that we know "Galicia".
