OLSZEWSKI Jan Gwalbert [1873-1943] - painter, draughtsman, educator, representative of realist painting, particularly appreciated as a watercolorist-illustrator. Since 1912, a member of the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts. In 1918-36, teacher at the Stefan Batory Gymnasium in Warsaw, collector of works of art, mainly paintings and drawings by contemporary Polish artists.
