Julian Ursyn Niemcewicz coat-of-arms Rawicz, pseud. and code name: Anonymous; Ivan Vasilewicz, officer in the Moscow army; J.N.; J.U.N.; J.Ur.N.; Julius Orion; Mośko Jankiele (born February 16, 1758 in Skoki, Polesie, died. May 21, 1841 in Paris) - Polish playwright, novelist, poet, historian, memoirist, publicist, translator, freemason, deputy grand speaker of the Grand National Lodge of the Great Polish East in 1781, member of the Commission of National Education in 1791-1792.

Unsigned binding by Antoni Oehl (ca. 1776-1846) - a bookbinder first employed by the Czartoryskis in Puławy, resided in Warsaw from 1812. From his workshop on the corner of Rymarska and Leszno came out luxurious safian bindings, later described as Belvedere style. (Lit: "Varsavian Sessions. Warsaw Bookbinding," p. 40).

BDB-/ condition, portrait missing, small initial in each volume, edge rubbing, paper browning in places
