Wraps rubbed, inside good condition. Concerns the Commander Islands - an archipelago in the Bering Sea off the coast of Kamchatka. The author of the work, J. Morozewicz (1865-1941) - mineralogist, professor at the Jagiellonian University, director of the State. Inst. of Geology, "in 1903 made a research expedition to the Commander Islands in the Far East. The results of this expedition were published, among other things, in the monograph 'Komandors [...]'. There he dealt mainly with the genesis of native copper, demonstrating the genetic affinity of its deposits with American deposits. In addition, he described a new mineral - stellerite. Returning from Commodores, he stopped in Sakhalin, contributing to the release from exile of Bronislaw Pilsudski" (PSB).
