Mickiewicz Wladyslaw
PAMIĘTNIKI
The text has been reworked with an introduction, footnotes and notes by Marek Troszynski
The memoirs of Wladyslaw Mickiewicz, son of Adam Mickiewicz, are an excellent source of information about the fate of the Great Emigration, the incessant attempts to revive the homeland torn apart by the partitioners, a testimony to the patriotism of the exiles and their perseverance in pursuing their goals. They were for many years a source of knowledge about the life of the author of "Pan Tadeusz" and a symbol of the creation of the figure of the bard by the son-researcher often distorting facts and bending history to emphasize his importance in the history of Europe in the 19th century.
