Volume 2-th contains: Grazyna, A Lithuanian Novel; Epilogue by the publisher; Hist. footnotes to Grazyna; Upiór; Dziady, part II; Dziady, part IV. The initiator of the publication of "Poezia" was J. Lelewel, who turned to J. Lukaszewicz and J. Muczkowski. A colportage was announced to raise funds, as it was necessary to hurry with the printing for fear of censorship. The first volume was published in June 1828, and the fourth already in October. "The Poznan edition is today one of the rarest editions of Mickiewicz, on a par with the first Vilnius edition," Semkowicz writes. The edition was printed on flimsy paper in an edition of 600 copies, and was over-read, which meant that only a small number of copies survived to the present day.
Binding shabby, front cover and several pages loose, block cracked in 3 parts. On title page self-signed, rusty spots and traces of soiling on pages, inks in several places, p. 21 with small tear, and p. 195 with small loss of upper corner. p. 195 with a slight loss of upper corner. Front pastedown with loss of lower part of card.
