Memoirs of bibliophile Jan Michalski (1876-1950), who devoted his entire life to the service of books. As a Polish language teacher and school inspector, he spread his passion among young people. With his own efforts, he collected a huge book collection (more than 40 thousand volumes) of native literature and culture. He donated his collection to the Polish nation.
