An old-print medical text by Bernard de Gordon (ca. 1270-1330), a French physician and professor of medicine at the University of Montpellier; his works translated into several languages were mandatory in medical curricula during the Middle Ages. Offered "The Lily of Medicine" on the "treatment of almost all diseases" (describes, among others, plague, tuberculosis, scabies, epilepsy, anthrax and leprosy), is his most important work, appeared in print since 1480.The text contains descriptions of hundreds of remedies for diseases of the body and mind, the author also emphasizes the differences (possibilities) in the treatment of the rich and the poor, especially in the case of chronic diseases, costly in the process of treatment, also includes mention of glasses! and a detailed index.
