MACKIEWICZ Kamil (1886-1931) - Army - press vignette.
Ink drawing form. 4.7x22.8 cm. Silhouettes of 10 military men in First World War uniforms. Signature "KM 918" in the lower right corner. The drawing was used as a vignette in Lviv's "Szczutek" (no. 1/1919, p. 2). The work in paper passe-partout, in a wooden frame, behind glass. Good condition.
Kamil Mackiewicz (1886-1931) - cartoonist, illustrator and caricaturist, precursor of Polish comics, captain of the Polish Army, particularly active in the field of graphic art during the Polish-Bolshevik war. He published in satirical magazines and military daylies numerous drawings and caricatures related to the ongoing war.
