Stefan Pomaranski (1893-1944) - infantry major of the Polish Army, historian, scout and scouting instructor. In 1912 he joined the Polish Rifle Squads, where he took the nickname Borowicz. In 1914 he graduated from the Marian Rychlowski Gymnasium[1]. Since August 1914, together with his brother Zygmunt in the Polish Legions. On August 6, 1914 he marched out of Cracow as part of the 2nd platoon of the 1st Cadre Company (his brother served in the 3rd platoon). In May 1915 he was wounded near Tarłów. In September 1915 delegated to the Polish Military Organization.
