Copperplate on frontispiece signed "Schleuen fec." (Johann David (1711-1774), engraver). The copperplate depicts scenes of torture, executions, burials. The title deals with the general history of the Waldesian and Protestant churches in Piedmont, especially the history of religious persecution. Abrasions of the binding, page edges stained red, in places on the caratch soiled and stained, p. 1643 marked as 1642, on the frontispiece a handwritten annotation Exlibris Georgii Christiani Otto; text title page missing? Good condition.
