A. Królikiewicz (1894-1966) - rotary master of the 1st Cavalry Regiment, cavalry major of the Polish Army, outstanding horseman, first Polish medalist in individual competition - won a bronze medal at the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris in show jumping. He died tragically as a result of injuries sustained after falling from a horse on the set of Andrzej Wajda's "Ashes."
