Klemens Kolaczkowski coat of arms Abdank (born 1793 in Poznan, died September 23, 1873 in Dresden) - Polish general, member of the corps of engineers of the Congress Kingdom.

Son of Ignacy Franciszek Kołaczkowski and Józefa hr. Grudzińska née Grudne.

In 1806-1809 he studied at the University of Wroclaw and was a graduate of the Application School of Artillery and Engineers in Warsaw[2]. In 1810, he supervised fortification works in Zamosc and Modlin. He participated in the Napoleonic campaigns of 1809, 1812, 1813 and 1814.

In 1813 he was awarded the French title of Chevalier of the Order of the Legion of Honor and the Polish Gold Cross of the Order of Virtuti Militari.

In 1814-1815 he was co-founder of the secret union of the Friends of Poland[2]. A member of Polish Freemasonry (Northern Shield lodge). He joined the army of the Kingdom of Poland in 1815. In 1820-1830, lecturer and academic director of the Application School. During the November Uprising, commander of the engineering services and general quartermaster in the defense of Warsaw and Modlin. Appointed brigadier general in 1831 and became commander of the corps of engineers. He took the oath of allegiance to Tsar Nicholas after the fall of the uprising, withdrawing from public life. He then left for Greater Poland.

He was decorated with the Order of Saint Vladimir IV class, the Order of Saint Anne with diamonds. In 1830 he was awarded the Mark of Honor for 20 years of service.

Author of the biography of I. Prądzyński (1851) and J. H. Dabrowski (1901)[2] and Memoirs published in several volumes in 1898-1901.
