Prof. Ryszard Koziołek: "(...) such a book, which really provided me with pure joy, is a strange book, actually for children, which I read quite late, by a certain Eric Knight. He is an American writer who created a book called Lassie, come back! Lassie never entertained me, somehow the story filled me with sadness. On the other hand, he wrote such a strange story, which is called Sam Small flies again - the incredible adventures of a flying Yorkshireman. It's a story about a fat Yorkshire resident, such an ordinary one - bowler, cane - who suddenly finds out that he can fly. It is not motivated in any way, in any way, it is not magic, it has not taken anything, it does not levitate. He simply knows how to fly. And it's very entertainingly written."
