Klemens Bąkowski was a Polish lawyer, attorney, writer, expert on the history of Cracow, co-founder of the Society of Lovers of the History and Monuments of Cracow. On November 27, 1929 he was awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. He was the author of numerous books and articles on Polish history, the history of Krakow and the judiciary. He was the author of poems, parodies, comedy pieces and satires on Krakow's urban environment. He was involved in drawing caricatures and painting watercolors.
