Unpaginated, binding loose, unpaginated dust jacket, owner's signature on title page. The offered catalog reflects Poland's presence at The New York World's Fair exhibition. The exhibition began on April 30 and ended on October 31, 1939, with the opening ceremony by President Franklin Roosevelt and Albert Einstein. For several months, 44 million people visited the pavilions. The slogan of the exhibition was "Building the world of tomorrow." Many futuristic technologies of the time were presented, including television and the interstate highway system. The event was attended by 60 countries, including Poland. The Polish pavilion was opened a little later, on the anniversary of the proclamation of the May 3 Constitution, in the presence of then Polish ambassador to Washington Count Jerzy Potocki, who was accompanied by the commissioner of the Polish exposition Baron Stefan Kyburg de Ropp.
