A richly illustrated catalog (color photographs) showing, among other things, exhibits that have not been published anywhere before. From the book's description: "From the passion and passion of the Krakow Kalkowski family came a collection of 435 medallions, plaques and medals, which was acquired by the Historical Museum of the City of Krakow in 2006. It has significantly enriched the museum's numismatic collection. It was left as a separate entity, named the Kalkowski Collection to commemorate its creators. It fulfills multiple functions: it illustrates the history of Polish medal making from the mid-19th century to the present, and is a review of styles, trends and sources of inspiration of masters of the art "enchanted in metal." The collection also provides valuable iconographic material, documenting important events and images of great Poles - kings, statesmen, people of culture and art.
The catalog includes images of 435 objects, which come from different eras and represent a variety of styles, materials used and manufacturing technologies. Among them are works by such artists as Jozef Aumiller, Pierre Jean David d`Angers, Stefan Rufin Koźbielewski, Jan Raszka, Jan Wysocki. In addition, the collection notes works by artists who collaborated with Karol Minter's Metal and Lacquerware Factory, including Hipolit Moraczewski, Wladyslaw Oleszczynski and Henryk Stattler, which further increase the value of the collection "
