JUDAICA - "Journal of Announcements of the City of Warsaw. " No. 12, 28.III.1941. In the issue, among other things, an ordinance on trade in goods with the Jewish quarter in Warsaw, on the necessity of permitting such trade from Transferstelle, Warsaw, 23 Królewska Street, and on penalties in case of illegal trade. In addition, notices listing the names of persons to whom payment orders for income and sales tax for the years from 1937 to 1941 could not be served due to the inability to determine the residence of the addressees. Among the more than 200 names and companies, Jewish companies and surnames definitely predominate, e.g. "Czynsztag" Borowik W-wa 1 Przechodnia St., Goldfarb Jakub W-wa 14 Solna St., Woks Izrael 35 Elektoralna St. Next to each name and company an address is given, which makes it possible to reconstruct Jewish population centers, e.g. Elektoralna St. or the presence of Jews in the rest of the city. On 12.X.1940 the Warsaw ghetto was established. None of the Jews at the original addresses were present. Almost paranoid announcement of the German administration, p. 16; st. bdb.; dimensions 300x210 mm.
