Hardcover, original 16th century - full brown leather with decorative embossed representation of "day and night" - sun and moon on front and back face. The edges of the pages are thickly gilded with an ornate chiseled geometric pattern.
The book comes from an excellent printing house: Sebastian Gryphius ( 1492 -1556) - a prominent German printer and bookseller.
Condition of preservation very good, small rubbing of the corners of the cover and spine. Block consistent handmade paper of the highest quality, clean.
