Good condition. Handwritten dedication by the author on the frontispiece page. Text of a lecture delivered by Styka at a gala during a great Polish-French celebration in Valrose on April 29, 1917, for the benefit of fourteen thousand Polish orphans - victims of the war who found refuge in Russia. The reception was combined with the aforementioned lecture, concert and presentation of paintings and "living pictures" according to the works of Jan Styka with illustrations to "Quo Vadis" by Henryk Sienkiewicz.
