Short author's introduction and photographic documentation of Jean Cocteau's decorations of the Chapel of St. Peter in Villefranche on the French Riviera. The three initial photographs show the artist at work, which he completed in 1957.
J. Cocteau (1889-1963) - French poet, playwright, film director, screenwriter, painter. "His art reflects the influence of Futurism, Cubism, Dadaism, Surrealism, as well as metaphysical poetry.
