The text was printed in two volumes, simultaneously in Polish and German.
Volume one covers the historical part (manuscript documents, portraits, historical scenes, periodicals, sheet music, photographs, ephemeral prints, old prints, books of the 19th-20th centuries, but also city views and maps).
Volume two: compiled by K. Kozica, describing the cartographic section. A lover of old maps will find here a systematized compilation of the most important old maps of Poland as a whole (from the early 16th century to the early 19th century) and, to a lesser extent, of its historical lands. The author describes in detail the various publishing variants, giving the differences between them. At the end of the volume, dozens of views of Polish cities are described.
